darwinports installation is broken

Description

The installation of glibmm fails through darwinports with the following error: checking for GLIBMM... Package sigc++-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `sigc++-2.0.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable No package 'sigc++-2.0' found configure: error: Package requirements (sigc++-2.0 >= 2.0.0 glib-2.0 >= 2.8.0 gobject-2.0 >= 2.8.0 gmodule-2.0 >= 2.8.0) were not met. Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Manually installing sigc++ and then changing the PKG_CONFIG_PATH did not have any effect.

Have you considered shipping Mac binaries? :)

Normally you should file such bug reports in the DarwinPorts bug tracker. The port name of sigc++-2 has changed into libsigcxx2. Probably your ports tree is out of sync. The glibmm portfile is already changed to reflect this.

We won't ship Mac binaries for a reason. We might look into a DarwinPorts package later, but the scripts which create those have broken dependency tracking.
