Fading of user color

Description

When editing a document for a longer time it would be helpful to fade out the background colors of older text indicating different authors. This would improve the visibility of recent changes.

The price to pay is obiously to lose information, namely which user wrote what text. I'd therefore prefer such a feature to be optional and/or explicit (maybe adding a "remove all background colors now" option).

I do understand the basic problem, though.

I agree that the feature should be optional. Adding a toolbar button which resets the current document's background color would be an adequate solution, too, and it is probably relatively simple to code.

I am in favor of this feature too!

Seems like a duplicate or enhancement of Bug #211 Reset Marks
