Version 0.4.10 on Windows

I must also specify that installation is going fine. It is once I launch the application, I get this error.

OK. I'm sorry I won't be able to get hands on the Windows stuff for the next two months, but I have an idea what might be the problem...

Can you try Gobby 0.4.92, just to see whether it starts up?

If it does, try to copy the following files from the Gobby 0.4.92 directory to the Gobby 0.4.10 one (they are from different versions though, I hope they are compatible...):

etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders lib/gtk-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/ (all the files in that directory)

If it does not work out, you can try to do the same, but using ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.12/gtk+-2.12.11.zip or ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.14/gtk+_2.14.7-1_win32.zip as source.

Let me know if either of this helps.

Hi Armin,

Sorry the delay in my reply.

Here is what I found.

First method of copying files from 0.492 install to 0.4.10 folders did not work. Also 0.492 version did not work (app opened but no options were enabled) when installed side-by-side. [See 1.png]. I should also mention that an install of 0.4.92(with no 0.4.10) worked as expected.

Files copied from

a) ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.12/gtk+-2.12.11.zip made Gobby 0.4.10 work properly. b) ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.14/gtk+_2.14.7-1_win32.zip gave an error upon trying to open the app. [See 2.png]

Thanks for all your time on this issue. Cheers, kreddit

OK, great. I am going to fix the installer as soon as possible. Keeping this bug open until this happens.

For Gobby 0.4.92 you need to run the separate "infinoted" dedicated server which comes with the installer. You can then connect to localhost with Gobby. Self-Hosting will be implemented at a later point for Gobby 0.4.92 as well.

Hi,

armin would like you to try the new installer for gobby 0.4.11 and see whether that fixes the problem.
