We use gobby extensively; we credit it as a major facilitator of the timely 1.0 release of XCB, Xlib/XCB 1.1, and their various release candidates. Gobby has helped us develop the solutions to many highly tricky bugs, including complex threading and synchronization fixes. We also make use of Gobby on many of our other projects, such as libpthread-stubs, maildirman, and our git-split script used to split the XCB Git repository.
